"Mineral and rich profile, with textured, almost candied orange peel. Bright acidity plays beautifully with this extended lees old-school Alvarinho to deliver another angle of this uniquely beautiful grape. 100% Alvarinho. The emperor grape of the Vinho Verde region in the north of Portugal. The Alvarinho vines grow in fertile, granitic soils. Although the cool wet weather often hinders the full grape maturation, Quinta do Regueiro continues to train vines in higher pergolas, as traditionally done in the region. The wine is a combination of two separate lots. The first, is semi-macerated on skins with extended lees contact. The second, is made like the estate's 100% Alvarinho Reserva, with extended battonage. All fermentation is temperature-controlled and in stainless steel."
