In this class, you will explore the 170 mile stretch of the Loire Valley and get a taste of the diversity in this region's wines. Home to over 50 wine appellations, the Loire Valley this cooler climate region produces some of the most food friendly wines in all of France, as they share impressive acidities, ample fruit, and divine minerality throughout. While they are most famous for their whites -- from the Nantais, Vouvray, and Sancerre -- we will discover other regions as well that are host to Cabernet Franc and emerging reds as well. In this class, we will have at least 6 wine samplings (1 sparkling, 3 whites, and 2 reds) to illustrate the vast styles (and soils) in this gorgeous, river nestled region in France.
