New Face of Willamette Valley: An Evening with Bree Stock MW of Ltd +

Don’t sit on this opportunity to meet one of the makers our customers have fast grown to love for her (almost too) drinkable Red Crush blend. Bree Stock Master of Wine is the new face of Willamette Valley. Her and a tiny cohort of outside-of-the-box thinkers have seen new possibilities that go beyond Pinot in the Willamette. Playing with grapes from around the world, she has been able to better understand the potential in this world class region. From Trousseau and Chenin Blanc to Mencia and Garganega, there are few grapes she has said no to when it comes to learning more. She and her husband Chad work with over 20 varieties in the valley. She has solidified her place as one of the leading experts when it comes to what works, where, and why in the Willamette.

This class will provide an overview of Willamette geography, climate, grapes, and regions while showcasing some of the incredible wines Bree has crafted with her own hands. She will tell us of the vineyards from which they are grown and the people she works with to farm these grapes.. She champions minimal intervention and terroir-driven wine, giving you a chance to truly taste what these grapes (and their particular environment) are all about. But even beyond being a general bad ass, Bree has set new ethical standards when it comes to making wine responsibly. She walks the walk. I am especially excited for her to share more about that with you all.

Bree is also a very dear friend of mine. We had so much fun making a Chardonnay together back in 2021 (yes! you can taste it!), and we have grown close over the years. I am ecstatic that she will be in town to share her wines and knowledge. I plan to ask her all kinds of questions this evening and open the floor to you if you have any of your own curiosities. Aside from her own winemaking, she has been the Director of Education for the Oregon Wine Board and consults for wineries all over the world (though particularly California and the Pacific NW). In short, she is a WEALTH of knowledge. I cannot wait for you to meet her.
