So What?
"The 2022 Bohan-Dillon is made from three West Sonoma Coast vineyards: Hirsch and Hellenthal, situated contiguous to each other, and the Heintz Ranch. This is the second vintage of Bohan-Dillon to include fruit from Heintz, which we selected due to its storied reputation and our faith in Charlie Heintz, a third generation West County farmer. The Heintz Ranch is located about 20 miles south of Hirsch, just east of the town of Occidental.
The 2022 Bohan-Dillon opens with a profusion of Rainier cherries and plums. With air, notes of Tahitian vanilla, sarsaparilla, forest floor and wet river stones emerge. The palate is classic Bohan-Dillon: soft and round, with wonderful acidity and gentle tannins. The fruit is juicy and dark, with a persistent mouthfeel and long finish.
This wine is fabulously approachable now, and can be enjoyed without decanting. Allow it thirty minutes of air upon opening." - Winery notes
